To use Semrush effectively for keyword research, I begin by entering relevant keyword in the Keyword Search Bar of Semrush, followed by providing Semrush with my desired website’s content in the Keyword Search Box and sorting by either Search Volume or Difficulty for an instant list of related keywords with useful metrics for each search volume or difficulty threshold to identify potential keyword opportunities.


Ahrefs is an impressive SEO tool with comprehensive keyword research capabilities. To use Ahrefs for keyword research, simply enter relevant keywords into the search bar and you’re off. Once there, Ahrefs gives me a list of similar terms along with their search volume, keyword difficulty level, and other insights. I can also analyze websites ranking highly for that keyword to see how their content has been optimized to fit that keyword and find any gaps I can exploit to generate leads for SEO success.


Moz is an SEO tool with many features, including keyword research. To use Moz for keyword research, I start by entering my relevant keyword in the keyword explorer tool and Moz provides me with a list of related keywords with their search volume, difficulty and other metrics. Furthermore, I can analyze the top-ranking websites to identify any content gaps I can leverage for better rankings.

Keyword Planner:

Google Ads Keyword Planner is a free tool provided by Google that makes finding relevant keywords for your business or website easy. I begin using Keyword Planner by typing a relevant keyword into the search bar; Keyword Planner then shows me related terms along with their search volume, competition level, location filtering capability and additional criteria to aid my keyword research process.

Google Analytics

It is a free web analytics tool offered by Google that gives insights into website traffic and user behavior. To use it for keyword research, I start by accessing “Acquisition” section and selecting “Search Console” from its menu. From here, I can access “Queries” report which details search queries driving visitors to my website; TDTRG. Using these reports I can analyze which words or phrases are performing well and pinpoint any potential content optimization needs.

Additionally, I can use “Behavior” section of Google Analytics to better understand how users engage with my website based on what keywords they used when discovering it.
